Description

General Overview

Punda Maria Rest Camp lies in the far northern reaches of the Kruger National Park, just 8 km from Punda Maria Gate.

Nestled in the unique Sandveld region – often called the “botanical garden of Kruger” – it offers a rich diversity of plant life, rare wildlife sightings, and some of the best birdwatching in the park.

The atmosphere here is peaceful and less crowded than Kruger’s busier southern camps, making it an ideal base for exploring the park’s remote north and enjoying an unhurried, authentic bush experience.

As one of Kruger’s 12 main rest camps, it provides full facilities within a fenced perimeter, making it ideal for first-time visitors wanting comfort alongside a true bush experience.
