Frequently Asked Questions

Are there a lot of flies, bugs, or mosquitoes?

Since they are surrounded by nature, you might come across flies, midges, or mosquitoes from time to time. But they do their best to manage them so that your stay is as comfortable as possible. For extra peace of mind, they would recommend bringing along your preferred insect repellent.

How far is the gravel road, and what condition is it in?

The gravel road leading to the farm is about 2 km long if you're turning off from the R60 or Stormsvlei. Conditions can vary depending on the weather and general upkeep, but it’s usually accessible without issue.

Do they have anything in place for loadshedding?

We don’t use a generator during loadshedding, but the Farm Cottage will have electricity during milking times. All cottages are equipped with rechargeable lights to keep things comfortable when the power is out.
